Get ready for a new VMware logo, this logo will shed the infamous “3 Boxes” and also include a slight typographical change which in my opinion is a little easier on the eyes.
VMware will start rolling this new logo out in a phase approach to keep costs down, however those of you at VMworld 2009 have already started to see this new logo pop up!
For comparison, here is what the old logo looked like. I wonder when we’ll start seeing new icons!?

company can spend the amount of money to develop more usefull features than to throw the money to other company.
the old logo will be the one and only vmware logo for me.

The old logo will forever be nostalgic to me. However, from a marketing perspective the new “a” is much easier to read. At a short glance (without knowing about VMware) you could see it written as VMwore.

I like the old logo and font…I’m just not a big fan of the “a” written that way.
