Third VMworld Session Added – Virtualizing SQL

I just received final confirmation that I will be speaking at a third session this September at VMworld 2009.  Come join me, Hemant Gaidhani (VMware) and Charles Windom (VMware) as we discuss Virtualizing Microsoft SQL in a vSphere Environment.

Abstract: This session will discuss best practices for virtualizing SQL Server using VMware vSphere. It will discuss the various technical considerations when virtualizing SQL Server and highlight the features in vSphere that makes it the best vitualization platform for virtualizing SQL Server. The session will also cover SQL Server deployment topics such as backup, security, licensing and technical support. The session will provide tips and tricks for configuring highly available SQL Server configurations in virtual environments such as failover clustering, log shipping, and database mirroring. Finally, the session will provide details about SQL server performance data.
